SCRAPYARD QUEEN
Short documentary featuring North Wales installation artist Rachel Rosen, the Scrapyard Queen.
We follow Rachel as she scouts for materials at Dinorwic Quarry on Anglesey, where she makes impromtu art with found objects against a freezing Snowdonia backdrop.
Back at Rachels workshop we are introduced to her passion for the transformative nature of metal and glass when introduced to heat, and watch as she works on one of the many community projects that she is involved with.
Rachel's art is meditative and intuitive, she sees art in what others see as trash, and her ethos of re-purposing objects in today's throwaway culture is something to be admired.
